Since I know everyone is going to post about impeachment of Park, I will deal with totally different issue.
The above link is the news about Pope Francis' idea about opening a married man becoming a priest. As a Roman Catholic, this is kind of shocking news, because this is UNBELIEVABLE. I completed my primary and secondary education in a Catholic School in Philippines. One thing I admired with the priests was that they give up their marriage to serve God, including reproduction. And to be honest, I had pride in those celibated priests telling my Protestant friends that Catholic and Protestant are totally different although both came from same root. I don't think it's proper for a married man becoming a priest even with the wife's permission. My Catholic  teachers taught me that sex is the highest expression of love between married couple. Then what's happening to married priest's marriage? Anyway, it doesn't mean that it will going to implemented immediately. It's just an idea he's open to. I believe it will take about 5 to 10 years to execute. Hope everything be settled before it's implementation.

My Take a Stand topic is: Abortion should be legalized in Korea. HOWEVER, before I begin with giving out 3 reasons, I should point out one thing. Korea's constitutional law allows abortion, but to limited circumstances only, and they are the following: - If the baby possesses genetic deficiency that would lead to mental or physical illness. - If the baby possesses infectious disease genes; - If the mother is a rape victim; - If the parents are blood relatives and - If the consistency of pregnant may harm (or has the possibility to harm) the health of the mother. I've been thinking that the door is not opened wide enough, not applicable to current situation. (Don't get me wrong.) Assignment#4 Gender

Why do you think Korea’s gender equality statistics are so low?  Do you think they will change much in the foreseeable future? Do you think gender ‘equality’ should be the goal? I think it's something to do with Korean's perception regarding gender and its differences. Although Korea has been influenced by Western cultures, still, Korea is full of conservatives. When I say "conservatives", it isn't limited to middle aged or elderly but goes beyond generations. Most Koreans aged more than 60 have firm belief that men do better than women. They are like sponge soaked into water, which is sexual discrimination. Even old women thinks it is universal truth that themselves are inferior to men. Parent's understanding naturally affects their children's education. How is 30s to 40s' conviction to gender equality? If their parents had intense opinion, maybe some inherited view of their parents', while some embraced a part, and the rest totally did not.
